Text Box - Display Options (Shrink, Wrap, Wrap+Shrink)

Text Box element can be found and added to your canvas from the element list. ResponsiveAds Text Box is developed as a Responsive Typography component.

You can access the text box to edit the contents, by clicking in the edit button in the bottom left corner.

Text Box Display options

Text Box element has three set-up and display options:

• Shrink
• Wrap
• Wrap + Shrink

Shrink

When “Shrink” is selected, you have no control over the font size, it is greyed out. Text will always take the maximum width of the marquees.

Wrap

When “Wrap” is selected, you can specify the font size and it will always stay the same. Text will wrap by words to adjust to the marquees’ width. However, when there’s not enough space inside marquees, text will overflow in both width and height.

Auto-Height

Additional setting for the Wrap display option is Auto-Height.

When activated, it prevents the fixed font-size text from going outside of the blue marquees. In this case the height becomes auto (greyed out) and the marquee will be pushed down.

Use either method that best serves your design purposes.

Wrap + Shrink

Wrap + Shrink was developed so that you can have the same text box element for multiple sizes with different shapes. It is the best default setting for Fully-Fluid layouts.

When “Wrap + Shrink” is selected, you can specify the maximum font size to be used. Unlike the “Wrap” option, when there's not enough space inside marquees, text will start shrinking, always staying inside the marquees. The text keeps wrapping till it hits the boundaries of the marquees and then it shrinks.
